Former Yankee Albaladejo signs with Yomiuri (AP)

Former New York Yankees right-hander Jonathan Albaladejo agreed to a one-year, $950,000 contract with the Yomiuri Giants of Japan's Central League. Albaladejo, who was released by the Yankees a week ago, spent the past three seasons with New York and had a 3.97 ERA in 10 games and 11 1-3 innings this year.

Terry Collins is not the answer for the Mets (Associated Content)

On Tuesday, the New York Mets announced the hiring of Terry Collins to be the 20th manager in franchise history in what seems to be the latest bad news for the beleaguered franchise. It is difficult to imagine what exactly Terry Collins brings to the table for a franchise that has been adrift for some time now. He does not apparently address any of the Mets' current needs and has the disturbing potential of actually adding to the franchise's problems.
