Minnesota Twins spring training schedule (Associated Content)
The Minnesota Twins are a team that is enriched with the history of baseball. The team started in Kansas City in 1894 as a Western League team. In 1901 they were moved to Washington and became the Washington Nationals (Washington Senators). The team was immortalized in Damn Yankees. What makes the Twins interesting to me, and why I am a fan is that there is just so much history associated with the team. I am not able to attend Spring Training this year, but I have attended spring training for other teams.

Baltimore Orioles 2011 spring training schedule (Associated Content)
The 2010 season didn't exactly treat the Baltimore Orioles kindly. After a miserable start that saw them go 32-73, the Orioles hired Buck Showalter as their coach, and he turned things around at the end of the year, posting a record of 34-23 under his watch. This season the Orioles have a much improved infield and a bit more depth in the bullpen. The additions of Mark Reynolds at third base, JJ Hardy at shortstop, and Derrek Lee at first give them some much needed pop in their lineup.

2011 New York Yankees spring training tickets (Associated Content)
Major League Baseball in Florida It's not quite spring yet but baseball players and fans are ready for the annual preseason practices and exhibition games in Florida. Out of all the professional sports that we as Americans enjoy I have always favored baseball. So when I moved from Hawaii to Florida, considering Hawaii has no professional sporting teams, I was very excited to find that I could attend a major league baseball game and watch many of the top teams in the country.

For the love of baseball My love for baseball comes not just because I played softball for many years as a child and as an adult, but because baseball is American. I loved to hear the stories of Yankee greats: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle and Yogi Berra. Yankees fly south Each year the New York Yankees fly south for the winter to the George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Florida. Steinbrenner was the former owner of the Yankees from 1973 until he died of a heart attack at the age of 80 in July 2010.
