After almost two weeks of turmoil, Miguel Cabrera returned to where he's most comfortable: a baseball field. Cabrera played his first game following his arrest, going 0-for-2 with a walk as the Detroit Tigers' designated hitter Monday in a 6-2 win over the New York Yankees. Fan outlook: Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 2011 preview (Associated Content)

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim enter the 2011 season after suffering through a season of highs and lows throughout the 2010 season. As an Angels fan since being a child and growing up a few miles from Angels Stadium, the last 10 years were a microcosm of last season. The high of the last 10 years was finally winning the World Series in 2002 and the low was the Angels star pitcher of the future Nick Adenhart being tragically killed in April 2009.

Red Sox fan: MLB fans can mail it in for 2011 (Associated Content)

At the age of 10, in 1966, I began watching the Boston Red Sox. Because of limited television coverage, it was more like listening to them. In 1967, after finishing last in the American League in 1966, I witnessed the "Cardiac Kids" finish first, winning the A.L. pennant on the final day of the season. "That was fun," I thought. We all know what followed. Losing the World Series, in seven games, in 1967,1975, and1986. Add to that the many key losses to the dreaded New York Yankees.

The Tampa Bay Rays: A fan’s aspirations (Associated Content)

Once again, a Tampa area sports team is the butt of jokes and seems to be poorly managed and lacking sufficient talent to even make it out of third place. As a long-time resident, having lived in Tampa for 20 years prior to relocating to the Orlando area, I have experienced the roller coaster rides associated with being a city of Tampa sports fan. Friday, February 25th's edition of the Orlando Sentinel has a flattering article (by Joe Smith of the St.Pete Times, nonetheless) about the Tampa Bay Rays' reliever, and ex-infielder, Joel Perlita.

NL Central fan: Wainwright-sized hole may sink Cardinal hopes this season (Associated Content)

(Disclaimer: the following was written by a Chicago Cubs fan (me) who is having what alcoholics like to call 'a moment of clarity.' His unfair and unbalanced opinions follow.) So Adam Wainwright is done for the year, perhaps longer, and will undergo Tommy John surgery. Let's get the obvious stuff out of the way first. What does his injury mean to the Cubs? Nothing. The Cubs weren't better than the St. Louis Cardinals going into this season in any way, shape, or form.
