Ortiz breaks loose after being plunked, Bosox win (AP)

David Ortiz got more than even for getting drilled. Ortiz broke loose soon after CC Sabathia hit him with a pitch, starting and finishing a seven-run burst in the seventh inning that led the Boston Red Sox over the Yankees 8-3 early Friday in a rain-delayed game that ended at 1:43 a.m. When it was over, Ortiz seemed more angry at the media -- maybe for playing up the possibility of trouble between...

Gonzalez gets even, Jays beat Yanks to end skid (AP)

Alex Gonzalez got robbed, then got rooked. Next time up -- yep -- he got more than even. Gonzalez hit a go-ahead single in the 11th inning and the Toronto Blue Jays broke loose, beating the New York Yankees 6-1 Friday to end a five-game losing streak. "I got one more chance," Gonzalez said. The Blue Jays trailed 1-0 when Gonzalez opened the eighth with a long drive that left fielder Brett...
