The Yankees took the field without Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez and Nick Swisher on Friday, a personnel hit that would severely limit most teams.

New York isn't most teams, however, and the Yankees didn't miss a beat. Curtis Granderson knocked in three runs to pace the offense in a 7-3 win, as the Yankees got contributions up and down their makeshift lineup.

"It was a good overall team effort," said Brett Gardner, who scored three runs. "We've got a good enough lineup, a good enough bullpen and a good enough starting five that even if a few guys are down and some other guys have to fill in, we still feel we can win."

Hernandez shuts down Yankees in 7-0 win (AP)

Felix Hernandez threw a wild pitch and handcuffed his catcher for a passed ball in the first inning. With all that movement, he knew things would be all right. Wow, were they. Hernandez pitched a two-hitter and struck out 11 to follow Cliff Lee's gem, and the Seattle Mariners secured their first road series win since April, beating the New York Yankees 7-0 Wednesday night.

Lee stymies Yankees yet again, Mariners win 7-4 (AP)

In the Bronx, almost nothing seems to faze Cliff Lee. The Mariners ace beat the New York Yankees in their ballpark yet again, pitching his third straight complete game to lead the Seattle Mariners to a 7-4 victory Tuesday night. Lee (7-3) beat New York twice in last year's World Series for the Philadelphia Phillies, including Game 1 at Yankee Stadium.

Moyer yields record-breaking 506th HR, still wins (AP)

Jamie Moyer gave up his record-breaking 506th home run but was sharp otherwise as the Philadelphia Phillies took advantage of Toronto's troubles to beat the Blue Jays 11-2 Sunday. Moyer only mistake was a two-run homer by Vernon Wells in the third inning. Moyer passed former Phillies Hall of Famer Robin Roberts for the most homers allowed in a career.

Edwin Jackson overcame a wild start to throw the fourth no-hitter in the season of the pitcher, leading the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 1-0 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday night. Jackson (5-6) threw a whopping 149 pitches -- a major league high -- and walked eight, all but one in the first three innings, in the second no-hitter in Diamondbacks' history.
