Haren outduels Sabathia in Angels’ win over Yanks (AP)
Dan Haren continued a streak of masterful outings by the Los Angeles Angels rotation against a pitcher who doesn't give up too many runs -- CC Sabathia. Haren pitched a four-hitter for his fifth career shutout and retired 18 straight batters as the Angels climbed within 1 1/2 games of the AL West lead with a 6-0 victory over the New York Yankees on Saturday night.

Arizona talking Haren trade with Yankees, others (AP)
Arizona president Derrick Hall has confirmed that the New York Yankees are among "a few teams" in discussions with the Diamondbacks about a possible trade for right-hander Dan Haren. But Hall told The Associated Press on Friday night that there is no front-runner and other clubs have made offers that are "of at least equal value" to what the Yankees are proposing.

Rodriguez, Pettitte lead Yankees past Arizona 9-3 (AP)
Alex Rodriguez is warming up and Andy Pettitte is still at the top of his game. Those are strong signals the New York Yankees are only going to get better, and they've already got the best record in the majors. Rodriguez homered and singled to drive in three runs and Pettitte got his ninth win when the Yankees beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 9-3 on Tuesday night.
