Curtis Granderson arrived in New York late Wednesday, March 30, after playing in a minor league game earlier that day. Granderson was testing the oblique muscle he injured on March 22, which caused him to miss the end of spring training, and put his availability for opening day in doubt. Luckily for the Yankees, the outfielder was ready. Facing his former team, Granderson put on a show in New York. He made three amazing defensive plays, and broke a 3-3 tie with a solo home run in the seventh inning.
