Sabathia gets 20th win as Yanks rout Orioles 11-3 (AP)

After reaching an elusive milestone, CC Sabathia sounded as if he wanted to postpone celebrating it. Sabathia became a 20-game winner for the first time in his stellar career, pitching the New York Yankees past the Baltimore Orioles 11-3 Saturday night. "Maybe after the season," Sabathia said.

CC Sabathia wins major league-best 19th game (SportingNews.com)

New York Yankees lefthander CC Sabathia threw eight innings of one-hit ball against the Oakland A's on Thursday to become the majors' first 19-game winner. Sabathia improved to 19-5 on the season and lowered his ERA to 3.02. He struck out five and walked three, and needed only 95 pitches to complete eight innings. Second baseman Mark Ellis' leadoff single in the second inning was the only damage against Sabathia. With the victory, Sabathia moved to 11-0 with a 2.27 ERA in 14 starts at Yankee Stadium this season.

Thames powers Yankees past White Sox (AP)

CC Sabathia has picked up the Yankees several times this season with dominant performances on the mound. This time, New York's bruising lineup did most of the work. Sabathia became the majors' first 18-game winner, Marcus Thames hit two of New York's four homers and the Yankees beat the Chicago White Sox 12-9 on Saturday night.

Yankees’ long balls give Phil Hughes his 10th win (AP)

Phil Hughes was angry. With the New York Yankees leading in the fifth inning, there was no way he was going to let Jose Reyes get the best of him again. Instead of going with his fastball one more time, the right-hander threw a looping curve that dropped Reyes to a knee as he swung through it for strike three.
