A-Rod back in Yankees’ starting lineup (AP)

Alex Rodriguez had a pair of hits and drove in a run in his return from the disabled list Sunday, but it wasn't enough to help the New York Yankees avoid a 7-3 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays that snapped their eight-game winning streak. Jays win 7-3 to snap Yankees’ 8-game win streak (AP)

Joe Girardi would still rather have Alex Rodriguez in his starting lineup. Rushed up to the plate after Brett Gardner was ejected, Curtis cracked a three-run homer Wednesday that sealed New York's 10-6 victory over Joel Pineiro and the Los Angeles Angels.

Yankees’ long balls give Phil Hughes his 10th win (AP)

Phil Hughes was angry. With the New York Yankees leading in the fifth inning, there was no way he was going to let Jose Reyes get the best of him again. Instead of going with his fastball one more time, the right-hander threw a looping curve that dropped Reyes to a knee as he swung through it for strike three.

Bautista hits 2 homers as Blue Jays beat Yanks 6-1 (AP)

Brett Cecil had a good view for another nice night by Jose Bautista, and he was impressed once again. "He's just unbelievable," Cecil said. Bautista hit two towering home runs, raising his major league-leading total to 18, and the slugging Toronto Blue Jays beat the Yankees 6-1 on Friday night, snapping New York's five-game winning streak.
