Herman Hernandez, the general manager of a youth baseball team sponsored by New York Yankees co-chairman Hank Steinbrenner, has died. The death of the co-founder of Hank's Jr. Yanks was announced in a statement from Steinbrenner and Hank's Yanks manager Ray Negron. Negron and Hank's Jr. Yanks official Sandy Kyrkostas confirmed Hernandez died Thursday morning of an apparent heart attack.

Oldest living baseball player dies at 105 (Yahoo! Sports)

Emilio "Millito" Navarro, believed to be the oldest living professional baseball player, passed away Saturday in his Caribbean homeland of Puerto Rico at the age of 105. He was hospitalized Wednesday after having a small heart attack.

With the passing of Marty Marion, a piece of St. Louis tradition and history is no longer with us. "Mr. Shortstop" as he was called by fans and contemporaries, died March 15 of an apparent heart attack. He was 94 years old, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch . Marion played for the Cardinals during the golden age when the team won three World Series. He was the National League MVP in 1944 even though his hitting numbers weren't impressive.
