Angels’ Bobby Abreu looking to be traded? ()

Outfielder/DH Bobby Abreu has played for four teams since entering the big leagues back in 1996: the Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Yankees and Los Angeles Angels. Now the 37-year-old may be looking for a new team. Abreu told ESPN Deportes Tuesday that he would like to be traded if he isn't going to be an everyday player, according to the Los Angeles Times; "I'm an everyday player; I can still be in the lineup for a major-league team," Abreu said, the Times reports. "I will not be on the bench knowing that I can play. If the Angels don't have a position for me, then the best thing is to trade me." The Angels, though, want Abreu to be insurance "in case Kendrys Morales doesn't return from a broken left ankle and Mark Trumbo is slow to return from a stress fracture in his right foot," the Times reports. The Angels' DH spot will mostly be filled by Morales and Trumbo while the outfield is filled up with Torii Hunter, Vernon Wells and Peter Bourjos. Abreu batted .253 with eight homers and 60 RBIs last season for the Angels and is scheduled to make $9 million this year. Don't forget to follow Scoop du Jour on Twitter or Facebook .

Yankees considering Bill Hall? ()

The New York Yankees are seeking a utility player and the New York Daily News has heard that they are considering 32-year-old Bill Hall, who has played for five teams since entering the majors in September of 2002. Hall has spent time with the Milwaukee Brewers, Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox, Houston Astros and San Francisco Giants over his career, compiling a .248 batting average. Last year, he played for the Astros and the Giants, batting .211 with two homers, three stolen  bases and 14 RBIs in 62 games. In 2010, he hit 18 homers for Boston. Back in 2006, he had his career year, hitting 35 homers and 39 doubles with a .291 average. Hall still had "a couple of teams" to consider as of Monday, the Daily News reports, and the Yankees could still end up just re-signing Eric Chavez to fill the spot. Chavez batted .263 for the Yanks last year. Let the rumors come to you. Follow Scoop du Jour on Twitter or Facebook .
