Yankees beat Reds 4-2 in DH opener (AP)

A lot had happened since the last time Jorge Posada hit a homer. The catcher-turned-DH lost his spot as the Yankees' extra hitter. He was dropped to ninth in the order and took himself out of the lineup for one day, prompting a spat with the front office and an apology.
