Brewers silenced by former ace Sabathia, Yanks win (AP)

Prince Fielder and Rickie Weeks struck out three times against their former teammate. They had plenty of company. The Brewers fanned 14 times in a 5-0 loss to CC Sabathia and the New York Yankees on Thursday, their second-highest total of the season. Milwaukee has lost 10 of 16. The former Brewers ace had 13 of those strikeouts, tying his career high.

Yankees reacquire RHP Sergio Mitre from Brewers (AP)

Sergio Mitre is headed back to the New York Yankees. The right-hander was traded from Milwaukee to New York for cash on Wednesday, two days after the Brewers designated him for assignment. The deal was announced after the Yankees beat Milwaukee 5-2 on Wednesday night. Late in spring training, the Yankees sent Mitre to Milwaukee for reserve outfielder Chris Dickerson.

MLB notebook: Astros’ Lee apparently OK (Yahoo! Sports)

The Houston Astros breathed a collective sigh relief late Sunday night. A CT scan on left fielder Carlos Lee revealed only a left rib contusion after Lee was carted off the field following a collision with teammate Angel Sanchez during Sunday's game against Milwaukee.

Selig gives no sign MLB moving 2011 All-Star game (AP)

Bud Selig considers Arizona's new immigration law a political issue and is showing no signs that Major League Baseball will shift next year's All-Star game out of the state. A day after Milwaukee pitcher Yovani Gallardo and other All-Stars said they could envision boycotting the 2011 game at Phoenix in protest, the commissioner never mentioned a possible shift.
