Yankees’ Nick Swisher sits out with elbow pain (AP)
Nick Swisher sat out of the New York Yankees' lineup on Friday night with pain in his left elbow. Swisher had an MRI exam during the AL-leading Yankees' 2-1 loss to the Los Angeles Angels. The Yankees will get the exam results Saturday. Swisher said he felt pain in his throwing arm during Thursday's loss at Baltimore.

On the disabled list since Aug. 21, Alex Rodriguez was in the New York Yankees’ lineup Sunday, but the Toronto Blue Jays spoiled his return. Rodriguez, who has not played in a full game since Aug. 15, was on the DL because of a strained left calf.
