After all the talk of Jesus Montero versus Austin Romine, it's Gustavo Molina who appears ready to win the job of New York Yankees backup catcher position. Molina was a long-shot to make the team, with Russell Martin the starter, and Francisco Cervilli the backup. Of course when Cervelli went down, an opening was created. The hope was that one of the young catching prospects would win the job, but Montero has struggled behind the plate this season, and both have had problems at the plate.
