My Favorite Sports Memory of 2011: Derek Jeter’s 3,000 Hit (Yahoo! Contributor Network)
On July 9, New York Yankees SS Derek Jeter became the 28 th member of the 3,000 hits club, as he went 5-5 on the afternoon, including driving in the game-winning RBI over the Tampa Bay Rays. And for good measure, Jeter even stole a base.
