Ever since I was a kid, there was always something special about collecting baseball cards. I have always been a fan of the game since I can remember, and collecting cards was part of that. There was always something amazing about breaking into a new pack of cards and seeing what was inside. Here are some of my favorite baseball cards I've collected over the years: Roberto Clemente, 1964 Topps This card has always meant a lot to me. My uncle gave it to me when I was a kid, and have cherished it ever since.

Fan reaction: Cardinals owners don’t act like $518 million (Associated Content)

Forbes released its annual list of Baseball's Most Valuable Teams for 2011 and there was no surprise in the pecking order. The New York Yankees were tops on the list. The Cardinals were one of the top mid-market teams and were 11th out of 30 teams in Major League Baseball. Overall, the team is worth $518 million. That includes player salaries, ticket sales and the stadium lease. The story behind the Cardinals this year is their inability to sign Albert Pujols to a contract before the season started.

Yankees beat Rangers 7-2 to close to 3-2 in ALCS (AP)

Texas has two more chances to reach the World Series for the first time. First, Colby Lewis gets a chance to win the pennant. If he can't finish the job, Cliff Lee would face the New York Yankees in Game 7. "There's no frustration or feeling like we didn't accomplish what we wanted to do," Rangers third baseman Michael Young said after Wednesday's 7-2 loss in Game 5.

Indians’ Tomlin tops Yankees in MLB debut 4-1 (AP)

If Josh Tomlin was in awe of Alex Rodriguez and the mighty New York Yankees, he didn't show it. Tomlin took a shutout into the eighth inning against A-Rod and the rest of New York's potent lineup to win his major league debut with the Cleveland Indians, 4-1 on Tuesday night. "That was an outstanding effort by the kid," Indians manager Manny Acta said.
