Garcia struggles as Blue Jays beat Yankees 7-1 (AP)

The New York Yankees worked so hard at keeping their signs safe, they ended up disrupting their own starting pitcher. Brandon Morrow won his fourth straight decision, Yunel Escobar had three hits and the Toronto Blue Jays again roughed up the Yankees for their fifth straight win, 7-1 on Friday night.

Jays win 7-3 to snap Yankees’ 8-game win streak (AP)

Joe Girardi would still rather have Alex Rodriguez in his starting lineup. The Yankees had been riding a season-high eight-game winning streak while their star third baseman was on the disabled list with a nagging calf injury. They'd won 11 of their last 14 and pulled ahead of the Tampa Bay Rays by 2 1/2 games in the brutal AL East.

Lee stymies Yankees yet again, Mariners win 7-4 (AP)

In the Bronx, almost nothing seems to faze Cliff Lee. The Mariners ace beat the New York Yankees in their ballpark yet again, pitching his third straight complete game to lead the Seattle Mariners to a 7-4 victory Tuesday night. Lee (7-3) beat New York twice in last year's World Series for the Philadelphia Phillies, including Game 1 at Yankee Stadium.
